Did paleolithic people clip their fingernails?

Just wondering how or if they controlled their nail growth. They couldn't have gone on like those crazy Guinness record people with the super-long curling nails.

    I would imagine that they didn't need cutting - they wore down perfectly well on their own in their environment. If not, they could bite them.
