First find slope by using formula.
(10-4)/(3-1)=6/2=3
Slope intercept form is in the form y = mx+b
where m is the slope and b is a constant
So we need to plug our slope in.
y = 3x + b
We need to find b so we plug a point on that line in. Lets use the first point.
4 = 3(1) + b
b =1
y = 3x + 1
I solved the first problem now you can solve the next one by my work above.

slope intercept style: y=mx+b, the position m is the slope and b is the y intercept(the position the line crosses the y axis) so your situation elements each thing except b so positioned all that in to discover b: undergo in concepts, factors are written (x,y). -9= -5(3)+b multiply: -9= -15+b upload 15 to both aspect. you attempt to get b on one aspect and what you do to at least one aspect you should do to the different: 6=b. now you've b and m, so those are constants on your line. x and y replace because the criteria replace. very last equation: y= -5x+6 now, attempt the others: 8= -4(a million)+b 12=b so y= -4x+12 -2=a million/2(4)+b -2=2+b b=-4 so y=a million/2x-4

gradient m=y-y1/x-x1
10-4/3-1=6/2=3
y-y1=m(x-x1)
y-4=3(x-1)
y=3x-3+4
y=3x+7
gradient for the second is
8-5/-2-2=3/-4
y-5=3/-4(x-2)
-4y+20=3x-6
y=-3x/4+13/2

first you need the slope
rise over run
y/x
(y1-y2)/(x1-x2)
either point can be 1
either point can be 2
whichever way is easier to subtract
then subtract the values of the point from ther relative variable
•(1,4), (3,10)
(10-3)/(3-1)
7/2
slope=7/2
so you start with y=7x/2
subtract a point
(y-4)=7(x-1)/2
y-4=7x/2-7/2
y=7x/2-7/2+8/2
y=7x/2+1/2
or
y=7(x+1)/2
•(2,5), (-2,8)
slope
(8-5)/(-2-2)
3/-4
-3/4
so start with
y= -3x/4
subtract a point
(y-5)= -3(x-2)/4
y-5= -3x/4+6/4
y= -3x/4+6/4+20/4
y= -3x/4+26/4
or
y= -3x/4+13/4
