No Heat or Defrost In 01 Cavalier?

Question

I installed a new heater core and ac/heater controller in my car and when I turn the heat on there is NO HEAT! You can hear the blower motor going and I just don't understand why there is no heat. The rear defrost does work. Yet now its winter time and its cold. Has anybody worked on the heater core. This type of car uses cables when you turn the knobs that go back to the black box underneath. Just can't figure out why I don't get any heat. Please help me if you can. I have asked a few mechanics and they can't find it. But somewhere in Yahoo World somebody has had this problem like me. I hope you can help me...please. Thanks for looking.

make sure the radiator is full not just the overflow tank. After doing work with the radiator or heater you have to be sure the radiator is full. Sometimes after running the engine for awhile the fluid level will drop and you will not get any heat until you ruin the engine. Also while you were working on it it would have been wise to replace the thermostat.

Well first thing that comes to my mind is did you hook everything back up???? Did it have heat prior to you installing a heater core???  Did you diagnose it prior to replacing it or did you just Google it & listen to a bunch of non shadetree clowns throwing parts at cars & guessing?????

First thing that comes to my mind is, are the heater hoses even hot????  There are 2 that enter the firewall, 1 for in & the other for out.  See if your even getting hot coolant into it first.  Is the temp door actuator even moving when you go from cold to hot??? Is there any air coming out of the vents at all???
