What are ways you could measure portions (using spoons and such when eating it?) And I'm referring to Misir wot, and shiro as I don't eat meat

Yes.....Ethiopians seem to actually PREFER it to Mc Donalds.

Misir and Shiro wots are lentil and pea sauces respectively. It is all served on injera which is made from teff. So, all in all you're getting a well balanced vegetarian meal. So, no harm there. Load up.

Take a look at a table spoon and use that as a measure. pile it on a plate until you have a normal portion. next time you are eating Ethiopian food remember the sizes you measured. Good luck
