What are token booths called now?
They have not sold tokens in over a decade. I know "token clerks" are now "station agents"< but what are these Metrocard dispensaries called?

Heck, I still call them token booths, but I'm old!
However, I'll bet I'm not alone. New Yorkers aren't great with name changes in general. We call 6th Avenue "6th Avenue" even though it's been "Avenue of the Americas" for decades. For years, the city tried to gt people to say Avenue of the Americas, but he eventually gave up and put BOTH names on the signs!
So I'll bet there are lots of other people who still say "token booth".
(I'll never say "Hugh Carey Tunnel", "Ed Koch Bridge", or "Robert F. Kennedy Bridge" either!)

In my expertise, many token booths aren't staffed. And i would not put any faith in something intercom approach they have. Tickets need to be purchased at the vending machines.

I'm probably the youngest person to answer this but I call them token booths. The workers are called station agents. I won't ever call them anything else because it sounds weird not to.

My friend, although the MTA now call them "station agent booths," old time New Yorkers like myself still call them "token booths."
I guess old New York habits are hard to break.
Good luck
