Don't you love the irony?
My Yankee fan friends in the spring were wishing that the AL East division would be decided during this series coming up at the Stadium. It looks like they will be getting their wish. DO you think the Red Sox will win at least one of the games this week? That would do it.
3 AnswersBaseball3 years ago'how can I connect a Samsung smart TV to a Denon 1801 receiver?'?
I tried going from the audio out optical port on the TV to the optical in on the receiver. Then I tried switching on the TV from the TV speaker to the othersetting. I tried various settings on the receiver, but I don't hear anything.
3 AnswersHome Theater6 years agoWhat do you think about the admission to the 9/11 museum?
I am a New Yorker and generally have no problem with admission fees at museums. I always pay the requested amount at optional fee locales. However, I heard that the fee at this new place is $24! I think that is out of line. I was not planning on going to this spectacle anyway, but a fee that size sealed it.

They were the last great record store in NYC. A favorite of mine for decades. Is anyone else going to miss them?

2 AnswersBlues7 years agoWhy do we have a Martin Luther King day?
I agree that he was a great leader, a voice of peace in a violent era, dedicated to equality in all people, etc. But, Should he be the only person in US history to have a holiday named for him? That would imply that he was the most important man in our history. I don't think that he was. Certainly I would put Washington above him. The framers of the Constitution. Certain military leaders perhaps. Maybe another President or two.

8 AnswersYahoo Answers8 years agoIs anyone else tired of the Mo train?
Granted he is a once in a lifetime player, best ever at a position that he redefined, on the short list of best pitchers ever, an all around great guy and team mate. It just seems that people are trying to deify him. I am tired of all the adulation. I try to listen to sports talk on the radio and all I get is a litany of minor events and general praise for the man, and too many calls that say "I just want to thank Mo" or "good-bye, Mo." When is enough enough?
12 AnswersBaseball8 years agoIs it time for the Yankees to let Petite go?
He is a .500 pitcher with a 5+ ERA on a plus .500 team. His skills are down, his strength is down. He doesn't win the big games anymore. Time to say "Thanks for the memories?"

How much has been restored? What parking is open? Are they continuing to work on it?
And any other information that would be helpful.
1 AnswerNew York City8 years agoWhat was the final score in the Yankees-Red Sox game?
Since it was rained out at the end, shouldn't the score and stats revert back to the last full inning played since the home team was behind? That would make it 2-0, not 3-0 as I see reported. It is really immaterial in the outcome, but we should get it straight.
4 AnswersBaseball8 years agoIs it insurance fraud if the shop absorbs the deductible in an auto claim?
As I see it, the shop and the adjuster got together to agree on a price. Then the shop is willing to do the job for less and only takes the award from the insurance company. Is this fraud?

2 AnswersNew York City8 years agoDoes anyone still hold that dog thing against Michael Vick?
I am sorry, I just can't get past it. Should he sign with the Jets I will give up my nearly fifty years of being a fan.
4 AnswersFootball (American)8 years agoWas this the worst Jets loss ever?
I think this along with "The Spike" and the game that they lost on the last day with playoff hopes alive 43-0 are the worst that come to my mind. Which one was truly worst?

3 AnswersNew York City9 years agoWhat are token booths called now?
They have not sold tokens in over a decade. I know "token clerks" are now "station agents"< but what are these Metrocard dispensaries called?
