Pug randomly couldn't breathe?
My 5 year old pug just now seemed to run out of breath. He was breathing from his mouth in two short gasps each, scared the crap out of me. I patted him on the back and ran out into a cooler room, the heater was on so I turned it off afterward - afraid it got too hot for him or something?
But he has never done this before. He seems okay now, but, what the heck?

Pugs naturally have slight problems with breathing, so that is probably natural. Since they are brachycephalic dogs, they are bound to have some respiratory issues. Make sure it's never too hot, and give him lots of water when going for walks. I would take him to the vet to check his respiratory system and internals just to be safe.
