I want to try drugs? Should I?
I'm a young teen, and currently going to a college prep twice a week(the rest homeschool) a good teen hardly ever get introuble , I don't have a chance even if I wanted to I go with a bunch of nerdy good kids , anyways I for about a year now have the urge to try pot atleast REALLY bad. Atleast that. My dad was a drug addict he died at the end of 2010, his side of the family also struggles with severe alcohol abuse, my moms family also does. Like when my mom or step dad is having a glass of wine or jack/coke (btw they are NOT alcoholics) i try to drink it as much as I can without them looking. I know the consquences
Of drugs and of smoking but as soon as I'm 18 I can't wait till I can smoke and I know it's bad I just Idk why I'm like this. Why? Why do I Have these urges? No one knows about it.

they legalized weed for recreational use in 2 states for a reason.
it's not bad for you. but like everything else in this world (including oranges and milk) if you do too much of it, than yes, it's bad for you. smoking too much can sometimes make you a lazy as$ and a little slower to respond.
those that say they have a cousin, friend, etc who's life got messed up because of weed... good chance they don't know the whole story and their cousin, friend, etc was more than likely taking something else (like angel dust for example)
i smoked for 5 years straight and I was able to quit cold turkey and i've been off it for a year with no withdrawal symptoms and what not
there are people who have what i call addictive personalities. my boyfriend for example. He thinks he needs to smoke every day and gets in a bad mood if he can't smoke but he's not twitching or anything like that. he's just so used to smoking everyday that his mind has been programmed to EXPECT it. a slap in the back of his head usually sets him straight and he's working on quiting so if we get married it won't affect my military career.
there are some very outdated ideas on what weed does to you. the whole you lose brain cells thing? if your brain goes 3 minutes without oxygen than you start to lose brain cells. the test they did to determine that was by designing mini gas masks for monkeys and they would just continously pump THC smoke into their systems for minutes or hours on end until they either received brain damage from not getting oxygen or they died.
if you decide to try smoking weed and take the risks that come with it, that's totally up to you. I just suggest you look more into it and look deeper than the government websites on weed.
a lot of the stuff i know about it is because i'm a huge nerd. i LOVE reading and watching documentaries. back in the day, i would smoke while reading a book whether it was anime or JRR Tolkien. just educate yourself on it than make your decision.
i never did the harder stuff though (cocaine and pills) those drugs are on another level and were never worth the risk to me.

Nope. You're fine where you are. Completely fine. I picked up a joint when I was 16, and haven't quit yet (27) my life would have been alot better without.

I don't recommend getting into drugs. I personally don't see a probably with marijuana, I smoke it myself. Theres barely any harm from it. Pot isn't necissarily a bad thing, but it tends to lead to other drugs. And that's where things tend to go bad. I made a promise to myself to never get into hard drugs and just stick with weed. There's also a strong history of alcoholism in my family, so I tend to stay away from alcohol too. I don't think getting into drugs is a good idea, but you're a teenager and you're going to expirement - its part of growing up. But you just have to be careful. I don't actually know if this answered your question lol, but I hope I helped :)

It's natural. I was a late bloomer, I didn't have those urges until I was 22. It was bad for a year then it subsided.
Depending on the job they'll test your hair (banking, intelligence, etc) for drugs.
Probably you shouldn't do it. You shouldn't do anything that will make you constantly paranoid that you'll get caught and have your life ruined.

i think it was hardwired into you from being brought up in the same home as your father, but one major flaw in what you said is "as soon as I'm 18 I can't wait till I can smoke" yes you can purchase cigarettes at that age, but you can never buy, sell, smoke, or posses marijuana legally
