Guy is selling car still titled in my name, what should I do?

The only reason it is illegal is because the government wants the sales tax money. You are in no danger and the person buying the car will have no trouble getting title in their name. When you sell a car, you are supposed to pull your license plates (unless you live in a state like California where the tags always stay with the car). By pulling your tags, he can't drive anywhere except straight home. Should the vehicle be used in a felony, you just tell the police who you sold the car to and when. That's why it's a good idea to exchange bills of sale (you both get a copy).

When you signed over the title you were supposed to tear off a slip and send that into the DMV which released you from the title.

As long as you did do that to inform the DMV you sold the car you are fine.

From what I know a lot of people do that they never register cars when they buy so pink still under previous owner I would not be that worry If you sent the liability of ownership to DMV because if u did vehicle's pink shows ur name but legally car is under who ever u sold the car to in DMV system

It is illegal if he is doing that, title jumping. but im not sure you can sue him, only person trying to buy the car

did the folk on the identify sign it so which you will pass it on your call ? did they sign it to launch it ? if not they might desire to sign it and you greater helpful get to the DMV the next day and notice in case you are able to positioned iit on your call.
