A lot of financial websites don't want to keep that much data around just for a few queries that might happen now and then. Historical Dow Jones prices might be useful for people doing research on stocks that split while they were holding them. Or on researching financial trends in general. Try the link below.

Just out of curiosity, are you researching that far back for "shits and giggles"? Because I don't see how any price that far back could be useful today.
