Excitation wavelength for quinine?
In an experiment why would it be preferable to use the excitation wavelength of 350 nm rather than 250 nm when determining the concentration of quinine in tonic water?

One usually selects the excitation wavelength to be equal to the wavelength at the absorption maximum.
