Does using cell internet through Bluetooth cost money?

I have a smart phone and a Bluetooth enabled laptop. I would love to be able to use my cell internet on my laptop, but can't because I don't have tethering. I have read that you can use Bluetooth to transmitt internet to your computer. Will my phone company find out and will this cost any money?

Update:

I know it will use up data, but will it cost any extra over what data I use?

Yes. Its could cost your data. And Bluetooth is just software to connect thing for headphones ....pairs to other technology. But still can cost your bills higher if you use too much
