Strange computer behaviour?

My laptop (msi A6200, Windows 7, i5 430M, 4 GB ) sometimes, out of absolutely no where (it has happened while I was not even using it, just listening to music), will freeze completely. Even the sound will freeze where it is, producing a weird repetitive sound. Nothing works, even ctrl+shift+dlt, or ctrl alt dlt. It's a brick. The cursor is stuck wherever it was sitting last, and I can't do anything about it. Then, after 30 to 60 it resumes to normal. This only happens rarely. Maybe once in a month. I'm stumped on this one... Should I be worried?

Update:

I have defragmented it before, and the random freezes still happen.

I have looked for the drivers, and could not find them :s Maybe I could give msi a call... Not a call I'm looking forward to...

Update 2:

It was heating up a bit a while back, but it's been cleaned since, so now it doesn't heat up very much. In general, it's always been surprisingly good with not heating up.

    1. Did you recently install any new sound driver or update.

    2. Are there any signs of overheating on the top of your laptop around the keyboard or the base of the laptop.

These are some of the suspects that show underlying problems of bad software driver or overheating due to blocked airways or broken fan.

try a diverse keyboard. sounds such as you're able to have some jacked up buttons. or you're able to have a plague project that has tousled your fonts. when you turn keyboards with your neighbor/pal and this is nonetheless jacking up try updating abode windows and doing a plague test.
