In watercolour painting what do they mean by Dropping in colour?

Hi. I want to try wet in wet watercolour technique but I do not understand what the mean

when they say just "Drop" some colour onto the wet paper.

Can someone Please explain the "Drop in colour bit. Cheers.

    you wet the paper with just water or a color then you take the brush and load it with intese color and place the brush in the area you recently wet. it creates fun effects. this image is a good example of what it looks like. the artist may have wet the square are with pure water or a red color and then later dropped in the blue color while it was still wet. the new color you added will push the previous color back a bit but also blend softly into it.

    it LITERALLY means exactly that. to allow the execution in placement of the color to define it's own boundaries.
