Can money really change a man?

Well, it certainly can change a woman.

Yes, however it is a condition that impacts both genders so it isn't fair the single out either one.

From s psychological stand point it is statistically more likely that a personality change will occur when given a large sum of money (say, enough to be rich to most people).

The reason for it is at first, you're on top of the world happy and blowing money like it's going out of style.

Then you start getting friends and relatives popping up asking for money for this and that. And at first it doesn't bother the individual because, hey, they are your loved ones,

However, you'll eventually start getting old friends, and distant family popping up asking for money. These can be people you haven't talked to in years, who suddenly have an interest in you because you're wealthy.

This creates a level of distrust, which usually grows and turns the personality sour. They start thinking everyone only wants them for their money, even if their relationship with those people had been very solid before they were wealthy.

Being paranoid about everyone causes changes eventually. It wears down the personality until it turns into something else. By the time a few years have gone by, that person is statistically likely to be a very unpleasant individual.

Word to the wise, if you're worried about being changed by money, DON'T TELL ANYONE YOU HAVE IT.

Depends on the individual, it is true that with a lot of money the man will feel more secure and confident about his life which can bring out a different personality than someone who constantly needs to work hard for little money.

It depends on how happy they are and how comfortable they are with their personality. Unfortunately, yes it is possible and can turn some into pretentious, arrogant bastards. But not everyone.
