How can I purchase something on amazon with gift card credit, without using my credit card?

I've already got money in my gift card balance. But when I go to make a purchase it asks me for my credit card information.

Can't I just purchase it with the money already linked onto my account?

When you're on the page that asks for your credit card information, look just a little bit lower on the page. There will be a place where you can enter your gift card info. If there is enough on the gift card for the purchase plus tax plus shipping and handling, you won't need to enter anything else.

From the AppBounty website (a site that gives you Amazon GC if you download their free Sponsored Apps).

To redeem your gift card, follow these steps:

    1. Visit www.amazon.com

    2. "Click on Apply to your account" on the left and log in or register

    3. The gift card funds will be automatically eligible for your purchases with www.amazon.com

    4. You still have to pay for the remaining balance of your order

    5. Alternatively, you may also enter your gift code during the checkout process

For any questions about the gift card redemption process please visit [www.amazon.com/gc-redeem](www.amazon.com/gc-redeem).

So you should just redeem your gift card, get money on your account and then use it. Of course if the purchase is higher you will be asked to pay the rest with you credit card :)

    Hope it helped!
