The person you asked about the hiring age at the game stop store knows better then any of us. The person is already employed there and actually has the inside scoop as for hiring age for the store. Was the person in a manager? that's the important question really. Most of the time in the game stop store around my area none of the staff seems to wear a name tag let alone provide their position there. So next time your in the store it wouldn't hurt to ask more detailed questions such as. If your like six to three months away from your 18 th birthday and provided a work permit and availability if they'd consider hiring you should you apply. But you can always apply at circuit city, best buy, kmart, walmart, sears, target and various other stores / departments that are similar to gamestop businesses. As long as you ask questions about the age in which they generally hire. mean while apply for various other jobs that your aware of that do hire 17 year olds. that job if your hired can be your stepping stone to another line of towards that job you'd really like. Just don't turn down other job opportunities that might come around. Good luck.

don't take no for an answer

go and ask around, get to know the employees and ask them to help you get a job there as a favor .. maybe they can work things around ..
