What have you done to improve the economy?
Buy American? Shop at locally own stores instead of Wal-mart? Please share.
I sort of agree with you Ron, I think both would help.

On Nov 6, 2012, 51% of America said, "We don't care about the economy. We just want handouts!". Texas, on the other hand voted to remove the Socialist Buffoon because we care about the economy and don't want handouts. We want to earn what we have. Therefore, to further improve Texas' already thriving economy, on Nov 7, 2012, I started buying only products from companies that have a Texas address. My pantry is full of Frito Lays products (Plano, TX), Dr. Pepper products (Waco, TX), etc. I even drink only beer that was brewed in Texas.

I don't buy American simply because it is American. I would only do so if I thought it was a better product. My motivation for buying things is to maximize my buying power by buying the items I need at the level of quality I want and at a price I can afford. I don't think of my purchases as part of some charity to support a bunch of underachieving Americans producing shoddy products. Maybe the government chooses to squander its resources in this way but I'm not going along with it. At the same time I couldn't care less if locally owned stores are able to compete with Wal Mart or not. Wal mart and the thousands of employees all over the country deserve my business because they do a better job of providing products for less money. They have families and children too. Why should I make my buying decisions a matter of charity for the less competitive businesses in the world. And besides, I personally can't afford to spend more money on things than I have to. You may do it if you choose however.

I say to you that if your solution to improve the economy is americans taking personal responsibilty...you are barking up a tall and impossible tree.
The real way to improve the economy is for politicians in office to make laws and policies with the best interest of the country and its citizens at heart.

I'm not on welfare.
I mainly buy foreign-made products since America can't produce electronics.
So I guess I'm kinda hurting it. But at least I'm not stealing it and calling it socialism.
