could there be more gays than atheists?

I would think people get indoctrinated with religion before they know they are gay. It would seem that has to be the case considering religions stance on homosexuality. Of course their are gay atheists but I am just curious if atheists are the minority between the two over all. I tried to do some research but the percentages are all over the place. Plus you got lots of spiritual people that are not following a religion. I would bet their are more atheists but from what it looks like it could be close to even. What do you think?

    Most of the people in my country (Australia) are atheists, including our prime minister. I've met thousands of atheists, but only a few gay people, so no, I don't think that there could be more gays than atheists.

    There are many more atheists than gays. In the UK, over 40% of people are atheists.

    I too am immediately and a christian and fully consider you that Jesus in no way taught us to hate all and sundry. We were all created equivalent and proceed to be that way, no be counted what we do. God loves us all a similar, although the Lord besides because the Christian hates the sin of the gay or of a few thing it is adversarial to God. God abhors this sin as reported contained in the e book of Romans. we ought to continually in no way choose a persons'' motives or their personality, even though it is okay to guage if their doctrine is heretical or their existence is crammed with wickedness. to face again and in no way take a stand for Christ is incorrect also. We christians are to be the consumer-friendly in a depressing international. to assert i like you as a brother or sister in Christ and worry risking their attractiveness of you, so that you do not favor to offend them by making use of telling them the trtuth isn't loving them in any respect. it is loving your self, being concerned what they imagine of you, not even if or not they die of their sins. to guage that individual's personality is incorrect, yet so isn't stepping as a lot because the plate and going to bat for them!!! A christian ought to also do a self examine and hate their own sin or maybe as they do sin, repent and adjust. Forgiveness from God is fantastic!!

    There are many more atheists. Which is a shame, as many religious people are scared to come out in fear of being shunned, so they have to live unhappy lives with wives they are not attracted to, and they have to pretend they're straight.

    many gays and lesbians are religious or spiritual in many ways...

    so I predict many more gays than atheists .

    Gay friendly churches do not buy the old 'gays go to hell' rhetoric
