Your opinions of... "racism", all people being "equal" and extreme nationalism?

Yes, I believe all races are equal, and the idea of nationalism is absurd and impractical in these times.

No one should necessarily feel proud of themselves because they were born with a certain skin tone. I'd say that if you accomplished something, you can be proud of yourself. Being born into an ethnicity is neither a choice, nor an accomplishment, so being proud of that fact alone is kind of dumb. I guess you can be proud if you're related in some way to an important person who accomplished something great.

Like if you were related to the Wright brothers, I guess you can feel some form of pride. But, don't go, "Oh, the Wright brothers were white and they invented air travel. I'm white too, so I should be just as smart". It makes no sense. A lot of nationalists (no matter what ethnicity) tend to try to take credit for anything and everything people of their race have accomplished, mostly because they need a security blanket because they seem themselves as inadequate. They've never personally accomplished anything, so they make themselves feel better by gloating about what other people with the same skin color as them have accomplished.

Skin tone does not matter. It does not determine whether someone is more or less equal to others.

Minorities are not unequal to non-minorities. Let me ask a racist this. Say humans are on the verge of extinction; there were only 2 people left in the world that are fertile and can slowly begin to repopulate the world. The only thing, is that one of them is white, and the other is black. If the world depended on it, would you still be opposed to these 2 people mating?

I don't care if darker skinned people get higher positions in the work force, just as long as their not getting the work simply because their dark skinned. That's racist in a way to both dark skinned, and lighter skinned people.

But also 'cultural diversity' for the sake of hoping people think you aren't racist is bad.

If someone has the skills and knowledge, why shouldn't they hold a certain position? Their skin color? What does that have to do with their knowledge, abilities and skills?

Sure feel pride for your heritage, but don't put others down just because they don't share the same heritage, that's just more racism.

From my point of view: If you're a good person, no matter the skin color, then you're a good person. If you're smart, then you're smart.

Racism was created to make people feel superior to others, and to create fear of those whom they deemed to be below them. I'm pretty sure this goes back to when slaves started to be an acceptable practice, that they had to be slaves or else they would run around murdering and raping people.

I believe that racism is unneeded, stupid, and that it causes unnecessary problems and violence. Skin tone and race should not matter. I believe that everyone is equal, no matter of race, skin tone, gender, sexual orientation, etc. Everyone should be given the same oppurtunities as everyone else, but that obviously doesn't happen due to the incompetence of today's society.

I think all American citizens should be treated equal.

I think all people are equal but I think a person's culture does influence part of who they are. All cultures have strong points and flaws though, so I don't think one could reasonably say any culture is superior or inferior to any other.
