Aussies, does anyone think "I did nothing wrong"..?

edit@ Sheila..that's what the police are investigating ..the accusations are that she knowingly assisted her " lover " set up a company designed to defraud the AWU .

That is just one charge ...there are others inc copping a substantial backhander that wes used to improve a property she owned

This is the 2nd time in the space of months our PM has had to --yes, HAD TO , stand up and defend herself to the nation. That tells even me, a totally non interested party as I categorise myself as A-Political and dont support any party, that something is seriously wrong here. What also hit me was she said--she said, her words,, that these things she spoke of yesterday on camera had been dogging her for 20 years? I thought the whole scandal only blew up this year but she many times said she has had this come up time and again over many past years??????????????

Anyone who has a stigma like that attached to them is suspect in my book.

That our public figures and the top one , the PM can have this much scandal directed at them is outrageous.

Last week a simple BBC reporter got it wrong, made a mistake. The top boss of the BBC resigned as he thought that was the honourable thing.A lesson our PM will never learn.

Our PM , twice on marathon TV interviews about her honesty simply denies. Now, this is really interesting as watching, she KNEW the bank records were gone after 7 years so 20 down the track that money trail is long dead. She denied everything and continually stated she couldnt remember any documents etc as it ''was so long ago''

Yet when asked a specific question answered immediately with names and further denials about the exact situation. My assertation and summation on yesterdays interview is this. The Statute of limitations and any requirements to hold documents or evidence is well over.

So as long as you steadfastly deny, deny, deny it will be ok. No paper trail, no case. She knows it. Deny and stick to the denial . As she many time said , put the evidence before me --knowing it's all long deleted . BUT--THE MAJOR POINT is Australias PM has self admitted she has more than 20 years of mud stuck to her name. Resigning is the only honourable thing to do.

As she doesnt have any honour, integrity or decency after yesterdays interview she wont do that.

Any PM with this amount of grubbiness attached to her name is a disgrace to our country and our whole world wide reputation as far as Im concerned. Resign Juliar .

lol,she is getting herself so entangled in her web of lies she won't know where to turn soon.Yesterday's so called media conference was nothing but a rant,the woman can't sink any lower in my opinion.

@ C.M.C. according to an article Julia Gillard posted in her uni paper some years ago she wasn't fussy what equipment her current lovers came with.

The problem is that no one seems able to define what it is that she did that is wrong.

But what did she do wrong, no one has adequately explained it.
