Please read my description for the full question?

Say you're shopping for a house, and you CAN afford one, but only because you have money saved and you don't work. Are you allowed to buy a house even if you don't have a job?

I do believe you need a job in order to buy a home. When I bought my first home, a whole lot of paperwork was asked of me...including the last few pay stubs I received. This is a mandatory part of the buying process as it shows that you have a stable job and will continue to have income once the home is bought. If they're going to give you a large loan amount, they're going to make sure you'll be able to pay it back.

sure, if you have enough saved to pay the house off the day you buy it...... not if you'll have to make payments.....

Sure. If you can PROVE you have a long term means to pay for it
