im a nurse in texas need to knowut?

And I want to quit my job. Is it legal not to give 2 weeks notice? I work in an assisted living.

    Unless you have a contract that requires you to give two weeks notice, you are not required to do so. Giving two weeks notice is a way of being considerate of one's soon-to-be former employer. The employer may, however, give a negative recommendation when asked about an a former employee who left without adequate notice.
