Ally stole the identity of a dead soldier. Ally was actually a soldier himself but when he got kicked out if the army he wanted to be 'a hero' and help people out. Then he would move on when people got suspicious hence all the ex girlfriends. Walker recognised him but could not arrest him as he was undercover himself at that point. Ally real name is Edward.

He kept using fake names and his last name Ally Gorman was the name of a dead soldier and he took his identity. His whole backstory was basically a lie and he got arrested for identity fraud.
