SKYPE is it free and had a call to say?

I had a telephone call from skype about paying fees, I thought that Skype was free.I have problems with phones and ask the to call back to speak with my wife,heard nothing today,any advice?

    It is free to send the messages but not to call. It costs money to make calls to real phones, but not to other computers. Good luck :)))

    That's strange ive never had a phone call, u can call other Skype users for free. Were u calling someone who doesn't have Skype? Cos that could be the reason, Skype is free
