Good suggestions. Under $30 000? A Custom Benedetto or Monteleone.
Under $3000, PRS and Carvin for sure. Excellent build quality. Also innovative are Koll (Multi-scale Archtop), Wechter ('Plek'-Tuned), Peerless, Triggs, and Parker. For a new single-cut Semi-hollow body Electric for $3000, my choice would be a Gibson ES-137, or a Gretsch White Falcon,(from MusiciansFriend.com). Or 'The Loar' LH-650 ($1400).
There's also a big 'Vintage' market for these guitars. 1990's Guild 'Manhatten X-170's (in Ex Cond) are about $2000. Here's some Hollow-body examples -VG+toEx cond.- currently for sale (from U.S. Archtop-guitar Stores, $2500-$3G): Gibson ES-175D (2000's or Late-'60's), 2000's- Heritage 'Sweet 16', Dale Unger 'American Dream', DeVoe 'Florentine', '65 Epiphone 'Howard Roberts' ($2950).

Hi Olderman,
I used to have my own guitar shop for about 30 years where I taught private students and sold guitars for a living. I would have to say that the Paul Reed Smith semi hollow body guitars are consistently the best ones I've ever played. Their necks and the intonation are always right on the money and they play and sound great as well. Hope this helps!
Sincerely,

in my view they're quite sturdy. I mean, it would not incredibly evaluate to a Gibson semi-hollow, however the Ibanez nevertheless produces a particularly sturdy sound from what i've got heard and performed. they supply the impact of being quite cool too =]

I'm assuming you mean new, and under $3,000, right?
I'd go with a Gretsch Chet Atkins "Country Gentleman" or "Tennesee Rose" model.
Or maybe a Fender American Vintage Tele Thinline.

Either the coma or the zeros is out of place.
Kindly get that right before entering the guitar store.
