It's nuts.
Look at last year, pop rested his players against Cleveland, Orlando, and Phoenix. Hey didn't David stern care when he rested them then? I'll tell you why, because those games weren't on national tv. He just wanted to make money off of this game. It's none of sterns business who pop plays and who he sits.
Yes, the fans may have been disappointed. But again, nobody cared about Cleveland fans when pop did this. Nobody cared about Orlando fans when pop did this. So why are heat fans more important? Besides that, I seriously doubt that the fans were there to watch Duncan ginobli and Parker. They were there for lebron James.
Also, look at the outrageous schedule the spurs have!! 6 games in 8 nights, 5 of those games being away. They weren't even home for thanksgiving. Now look at the heat schedule, the last game they played was last SATURDAY against Cleveland! That's 4 days of rest for one team and none for the other. I understand every team gets back to back games, but not this many games. I truly believe the heat were being set up to blow out the spurs.

It was just wrong in my opinion. Stern does not have the power to tell a team what to do when it comes to their Players health or playing time.
BQ: It's not bad.

Pop did the wrong thing in my opinion.
He sits his best players at random times and that's annoying. It rips off and isn't fair to the fans. They came and paid to see a good game featuring the best players in the NBA, not some D-League talent who the Spurs just called up. That just isnt fair to the fans. They want to see Duncan, and Ginobli, and Parker, not Matt Bonner, Patty Mills, Tiago Splitter, a rookie as their starting PG.

First of all, it's not even his team so why should he care about the Spurs resting 4/5 starters (Boris Diaw played).

Thug players, ignorant fans....
So a bad commissioner is not surprising.
