How to know that PS2 IN REAL VERSION?

I search the web that PSCOMPANY HAD 2 TYPES OF PS2.. ONE IS PS2 FAT AND THE SLIM ONE..

THE SLIM ONE SELL IT PRICE AT RM 800 (MALAYSIA) AND MY FRIEND BOUGHT A PS2 SLIM AT TESCO AT ABOUT RM 480 ....I CONFUSE ABOUT DID THE PRICE OF SLIM PS2 WILL HAVE DIFFERENTS QUALITIES OR IT JUST A FAKE ONE...?

    the slim ps2 is the newer version the fat one is older. it has no difference but its smaller
