What's causing my headache?

I'm nineteen years old and i have migraine headaches but as of yesterday i had one on the left side of my brain almost like its heavy and isn't getting enough blood or something which is also causing me neck pains and made me have a hard time sleeping so i took an aleve and it went away for the night but i'm occasionaly getting light headed.

This may not be a migraine. It could stem from a damaged nerve or simple tension in your neck. They feel almost the same, and if it’s muscle related, that would explain why the Aleve helped. I know when I have a bad headache, I often don’t eat correctly, which could be a totally different reason for the light-headedness. I would try a decent meal, a hot shower with the water hitting your neck where it hurts, and lying down on the side that hurts. If it persists, you should have it checked out by an MD or even a chiropractor.

Good luck, I hope you feel better soon. And, btw, try Excedrin or a generic of it for your migraines. It works better than most prescription pain pills on mine.
