Is refrigerated iced coffee okay to drink after expiration date?
My mom just bought International Delight Iced Coffee today, but the date at the top (I'm assuming is the expiration or use by date) says 11/27/12. She's doesn't want to take it back to the store but I don't just want to throw it away. Would it be okay to drink? It's refrigerated iced coffee it's not the kind in the bottles.

If your fridge is kept at a very cold setting, if the product does not contain dairy, and the package hasn't been opened, then it is probably ok. Open it and do a smell test. If anything seems off, toss it immediately. If you are still unsure, use only a small amount and wait an hour or so to see if there are any negative effects.

Most expiration dates on canned goods are trustworthy for roughly 4 to six months after. Recent meats can be good as much as 15 days after, however steer clear of stinky, inexperienced, and slimy meats.

It is important to know whether it is a "best by" date or a "use by" date. Most products such as this one are intended to be used within about 7 days of the expiration date.
It should be fine.
