What Android smartphone would you recommend?
I'm getting a smartphone soon, and I was thinking perhaps the HTC One X+ just because I like the design and it looks pretty good for performance. Do you recommend any other android smartphone?
How is the S3? And also, do any of you have any idea if the One X+ comes in white like the One X does?
Thanks for any help.

I would go with the One X+, it has better camera, performance and the LCD 2 display is much crisper and brighter than the Galaxy S3's, when you tilt it to the side it almost looks like the icons are floating on top of the screen. Some people complain that they need an Sd-Card slot on their phone but if you don't have a class 10 high speed card your phone is going to seem laggy especially since you are saving most of the app data onto the card. These cards are relativity expensive, a high quality class 10 32 gb micro-sd is going to set you back another 70-80 bucks at the least if you want the galaxy s3 to match the memory on the HTC One X+. With the HTC One X+ you wont have to worry about that because it comes with a beefy 64gb high speed memory chip inside the device itself. The build quality on the HTC One X+ is also much better than that of the S3's, the battery cover on the S3 is really flimsy. The HTC one X+ also gets jelly bean out of the box as the person before me mentioned and is more likely to get updates faster than the S3 since the S4 is due out early next year. The USA verison of the Galaxy S3 only has a dual core while the HTC one X+ has a renewed version of the Tegra 3 quad core, so not only will it have almost twice the performance of the GS3 but you also get longer lasting battery due to the Tegra 3 being extremely energy efficient especially when idle.

The HTC One X+ sales figures aren’t available yet, so we only have the specs to work with. HTC says that the One X+ is 67% faster than its predecessor due to its quad-core NVIDIA Tegra 3 chip. The HTC One X+ has a 1.7 GHz quad-core processor. The US Samsung Galaxy S3 has a dual-core 1.5GHz processor.
The HTC One X+ 4.7” LCD screen is 312ppi with a 1,280x720p resolution. The Samsung Galaxy S3 has a Super AMOLED screen that’s 4.8” and 306ppi, and the same resolution as the One X+. There are some who say that the HTC One X+ display is more realistic, and works better in bright sunlight. Others say they find the colours oversaturated and prefer the vibrant hues and deep blacks on the Samsung Galaxy S3.
The HTC One X+ has 64GB of internal storage, but lacks SD support. It does come with 25GB of Dropbox, though. The Samsung Galaxy S3 comes in 16, 32 and 64GB versions, and can take on another 64GB by SD card.
The Samsung Galaxy S3 weighs 4.7oz and is 5.38×2.78×0.34” in size. The HTC is a shade heavier at 4.76oz and a shade smaller at 5.28×2.75×0.35”.
The Samsung Galaxy S3 is finally getting Jelly Bean on most carriers, but the HTC One X+ comes with Jelly Bean out of the box. Both phones have Wi-Fi, NFC, Bluetooth and so on, and they both have 2,100mAh batteries.
Both phones have 8MP rear cameras, with the Samsung Galaxy S3 having a 1.9MP front camera and the HTC One X+ having 1.6MP.
So, the HTC One X+ does have some great specs, but it still can’t seriously compete with the Samsung Galaxy S3, for many reasons. Annoyingly, we already detailed these reasons earlier in 2012 when we pitted the original HTC One X against the Samsung Galaxy S3.
Two big reasons are the non-removable battery and the fact that the One X+ doesn’t have SD support. The One X+ isn’t available on all US carriers too, unlike the Samsung Galaxy S3. HTC seems to have fiddled about with things that weren’t broken, and have ignored issues that really did need attention. These three reasons were the ones that made us prefer the Samsung Galaxy S3 to the One X, and it’s frustrating to see them reappear in the HTC One X+.
I'd say both phones are good in performance, but I think the One X+ outperforms the S3 with its quad-core processor.
Sorry, the HTC One X+ does not come in white.
