What are the best ways to relieve back pain without going to the chiropractor?

My upper back hurts pretty much everyday. I've always had back hurts that go away but just recently it's been all day everyday. I have an eight month old daughter so I'm constantly bending over to grab things so I'm guessing that's what is the cause of it being so bad. I was just wondering if anyone has any good suggestions? I want to go to a chiropractor but don't have that kind of money any time soon with the holidays and all. Thanks!

Oh - too bad. What you can try is to just lie down flat and try to relax as much as you can - give yourself just 5 or 10 minutes from time to time. And then when you're up and moving see if you can notice how tight your shoulders are - and see if you can relax them.

Mostly pains like this are little cramps in the muscles.

Try doing pelvic lift exercises at night before you go to bed. To do them, get on your hands and knees on the floor and lift your pelvis up and down slowly. About 30 a night will do wonders for your back pain.

try using a heating pad. that might give you some relief. you can also take a hot shower and just let the hot water beat on your back. I have chronic back pain and that's what I do in the morning to help me get through the day.

    good luck
