Does malwarebytes pay yahoo to advertise in their Computers & Internet "Security" section?
You know like when Coca Cola put their advertisements in that ET movie.
I have no problems with advertisements but when Yahoo starts removing advice from those who are NOT part of their advertising schemes then that is just plain wrong.
If you are coming here because you have problems with your computer. I think you should keep in mind that what you have gotten yourself into is a malwarebytes commercial forum. It would probably be easier to avoid Yahoo and go straight to the malwarebytes forum directly.
These people who work for yahoo are getting paid by them and those people who keep pushing for malwarebytes are nothing more than telemarketers. There are other better Computer help forums out there that you can go to.
One forum which is really good. At least in my opinion is Geeks to go.
@Pulsar- I've studied business so I know how marketing works. The best marketing is the one that doesn't look like its marketing. That way the customer is more likely to listen to what you have to say.
Look at your right now. You're marketing! lol
You probably already reported this question and Yahoo has decided to not remove it so it doesn't look so obvious. Don't worry they will remove it later or maybe they just shipped this question to Mongoloia so that others don't see it.
It might not solve their problem but at least it will put their mind at ease. I don't just recommend Emisoft. I recommend many different products not just one.
For some reason Emisoft seems to throw Malwarebyte marketers into a frenzy. Which is why I keep doing it out of spite. I know exactly what is going on. This is supposed to be a site where people share information. Its not supposed to be an advertising for any particular product.
I won't even bother recommended Malwarebytes because of the way they choose to advertise. Its called cold calling and any company who engages in that has something to hide. That is the reason why I never recommend it. Its probably good who knows but their advertising needs to improve and their marketers need to stop pushing it on people.
@Wide Glide- I know they are affiliated. I have been there before. The reason why I recommend it is that Malwarebytes telemarketers don't use Geekstogo as a telemarketing tool.
As for Yahoo answers yes you do use it as a telemarketing tool and you know it!
Even now you are telemarketing! That is why I told them to go to the forum itself rather than come here. You guys have ruined this whole section.

That is exactly what they teach you in telemarketing school. You need to turn your advertising into a community thing so that people feel like you are not trying to sell them something. That way they are more likely to feel comfortable and purchase your product.
If Geekstogo decides to take that route then maybe those who are seeking help may want to go elsewhere. I have no affiliation with anyone but like I said when my advice is removed because it doesn't fit the telemarketers advice I find that very offensive.
@Vicky- Yea right lol. Like I said I have no problem with advertising. What I don't like is when one of my answers are removed here because it doesn't conform with some telemarketers goal.
There is a right way to market a product then there is a wrong way to do it. People do get turned off by strong arm tactics.

Hi hotvoltage,
You seem to have an interesting, yet distorted, view of 'telemarketing' here on Answers.
I use Malwarebytes, and the version I use is completely free.
Same with Microsoft Security Essentials, and also SuperAntiSpyware.
No body is trying to SELL me anything... least of all here on Answers.
Answering questions here, with a free help site, isn't 'telemarketing' in any sense of the word.
I also answer questions in the cars and transportation section and OFTEN show askers how to download FREE owners guides (from manufacturer websites) for their vehicles ...to get more detailed answers to their questionsand to view the helpful diagrams within the manuals.
Would you consider ^that telemarketing?
No.. It is just sharing information with HELPFUL advice.
By the way, I never went to 'telemarketing school'... I just like to give helpful free advice.
EDIT/PS:
Regarding "like I said when my advice is removed because it doesn't fit the telemarketers advice I find that very offensive."
If you have had posts wrongfully reported/removed..... please write to me via my Y!A email link.. perhaps I can help you to write a successful appeal and help get your content re-instated. Users that report content inaccurately will lose trusted reporting status too.

We suggest the use of Malwarebytes' simply because it works. Not because of advertising their product. Myself, I have a wordpress blog where I also suggest it's use among others with absolutely no affiliate links period. Mbam is the NO.1 malware removal tool in the world
" It would probably be easier to avoid Yahoo and go straight to the malwarebytes forum directly"
I do give a response in my post when I feel the user (OP) needs more help than can be gotten here at YA.
Example:
http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AoyQJ...
" those people who keep pushing for malwarebytes are nothing more than telemarketers."
If you want to check to be sure that I have no affiliation other than being a Elite member of their forum, contact Ron Lewis(Head of Online support)

" I have no problems with advertisements but when Yahoo starts removing advice from those who are NOT part of their advertising schemes then that is just plain wrong."
To address this issue, I would have to know exactly what advice given was removed. But here is not the place nor time.
" You probably already reported this question and Yahoo has decided to not remove it so it doesn't look so obvious."
Yahoo will never see this question/statement. The Community Moderation users will but not Yahoo. Your question will stand.............
" One forum which is really good. At least in my opinion is Geeks to go."
I guess you don't know that the same experts over there also help At Mbam Forum, Bleeping Computer, MajorGeeks, etc,......... They all graduated from the same schools

Sorry and not to offend you in any way, but you really do not have the total picture of what's going on or how important Malwarebytes' really is.
"Malwarebytes’ is community. Malwarebytes’ is technology. Malwarebytes’ is a belief that every person has a fundamental right to a malware-free existence."
EDIT: Again you really don't know.
Take " Metallica" that posts the malware removal guides at Geeksto Go. He also posts the removal guides at the Mbam Forum

If you want to check my blog to see I suggest more tools than just Mbam, go have a look

I know, for a cynical person such as yourself, that it's hard to believe that there are ANY products for ANYTHING out there anywhere that are so good as to warrant everyone, everywhere suggesting the use of said product, but in the case of MalwareByes, you would be wrong. MalwareBytes IS that good, and the developers don't have to do what you suggest, because of the word of mouth.
If you really knew marketing the way you think, you would know word of mouth can be the best advertising. In the 90's, I was a firm believer in SpyBot S&D, but I have a flexible mind, and go where the value is at, and today I like MalwareBytes, who knows what to morrow will bring.
Since you seem to be so phucking smart, why don't you tell me which anti-malware application I should be using...Please, I can't wait.
All I will do is show you test videos of MalwareBytes, and whatever product you come up with (one you have no experience with, I'm sure) to show which is better. Maybe you can also show me all the sites, like these, that suggest the program you like the way these suggest MalwareBytes.
This is a list made by the professionals at bleepingcomputer, of removal guides for rogue programs, and other malware. What do most of them have in common?
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/virus-removal/
Here are some random anti-virus test videos, what do they ALL have in common?
http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=avast+...
You can search tests of other AV's if you like...
You can go to ANY forum where you can get help/advice removing malware from your computer, and see what the VAST majority of people suggest....Oh, right, can't use that, according to you, they are ALL shills for MBAM....WTFE..
You are just the typical woman. Shut your mouth, get in the kitchen, and make me a phucking sandwich, that's all your good for.
EDIT*******************
I just read some of your stupid uninformed posts about Emsisoft...Really? Emsisift? REALLY?
Even at their website they tell you to basically use that POS program at your own risk, because of it's high false positive rate, and you suggest someone else use it, that may be computer illiterate, and mess their computer up? Emergency kit should only be used by an experienced user on highly infected computers, you stupid ****, shut your mouth...Wheres my phucking sandwitch?

Malwarebytes is not always recommended
but it is the best anti malware application in the world at this time.
there are other solutions to certain problems,
but generally malwarebytes seems to be able to solve
a whole heap of malicious software problems.
depending on what the problem is
depends upon what you get recommended to use
by the top contributors .
most of whom contribute to other malware forums and anti virus sites
other than here.
so if you are asked to run malwarebytes it is not out of advertising.
it is in the most part because they know it will solve the problem in hand.
we can not enter in to discussions here.
all we can give you on here is general advice.
there simply is not the space here to give an in depth analysis and cure.
i see on the answer you gave about a possible virus
you recommended emisoft for a virus that does not exist other
than in the mind of the noob computer user.
so does that mean you are employed by emisoft ?
a scan with an anti virus will not fix user errors
or idiocy.
.

I have had china try to get into my pc, my malwarebytes pro blocked them every time,( do not work or get paid by malwarebytes,it is simply a very good program for malware.
- CharlesLv 48 years ago
NO.
MalwareBytes doesn't.
It's just so good that people recommend it to other people.
