smiley is either misinformed or dishonest. Shia don't hate Sunnis. I was a Sunni and would often hear hateful speech concerning shia, calling them rafida and Jews. Now that I'm Shia I've never come across anything like this from other Shia against Sunnis.

It's because Shia's diffrentiate between getting the Sunnah of the Prophet SAWA from his companions and from his progeny whom he has introduced to us!

It's the difference of learning 23 years from the Prophet SAWA (which there is no denying in the greatness of those years) or learning even more details (as creditable as the teachings of the Prophet SAWA) through over 200 years!

Also, as "Shia Muslim" has said, Shias see Imamate as an essential part of Islam which Sunnis have disregarded!

There's a lot of bad blood between Shia and Sunnis

shia's and sunni's aren't very bonded...

even though they belong to the same religion.

so if someone is a sunni he would tell the world he is sunni because he dislikes shia (not all some)

and if someone is a shia he would tell the world he is shia because he dislikes sunnis (not all some)

sunni isn't a sect, but the majority of Muslims, but Shiaa is a sect, which believes to be right.

in fact, the term Sunni is a late term to distinguish those (non-sect Muslims) form others.

because some Shi'ah are muslims and some are not.
