If I have a green card, do I need to take the Toefl exam if I wanna go to college?
I moved to America in 11th grade, from England. I am a British citizen and born UK and English is my first lanuage. I first moved to America in 5th grade (from uk) then moved back to uk after 8th and came back to US at the beginning of 11th grade. I'm now a senior and applying to college, I was just wondering if I need to take the Toefl test if I have a green card. FYI the college I wanna go to is NJIT.

No but sometimes an ignorant clerk may think you do. If you get this, ask to speak to their boss.
My Canadian daughter got this sort of BS because for some reason the clerk thought Canadians only spoke French.And she attended US schools from grade 8. We had to speak to the supervisor and point out she spoke, read and wrote better English than they did.

No you don't have to take the Toefl because all the work you did in class was in English. If you graduated from a high school where the instruction was in another language, then you would take it. So don't waste your money!
