Is peanut butter addictive?
Okay, so I've been struggling with this for over a year now. I'm hard core addicted to peanut butter. I'm not fat: 5 "3 1/2" and 118 pounds, but I can't stop eating peanut butter. I have a peanut butter sandwich for breakfast, a peanut butter&jelly for lunch, and usually another peanut butter sandwich before I go running/ soccer practice. Even when I just eat a spoonful of it, it turns into another and another. My parents think I have an eating disorder, but it's not all I eat. I eat bunches of other stuff, I just always come back to peanut butter. I'm seriously starting to think I have a problem. So, is it just a head thing or is peanut butter really addictive?

you and about a million others or peanutbutter wouldn't sell as well as it does.
My grand son is like you. He is a picky eater and if all else fails, a peanutbutter sandwich will do.
when my own kids were young, I had to buy peanutbutter in a 5 pound bucket and even that never lasted a month.
Relax, enjoy your peanut butter and just make sure you are eating healthy otherwise.

I had a similar problem once, and I just couldn't stop eating peanut butter with everything. But then I found out that I had some health issues and that there was a lot of partially hydrogenated oil in the peanut butter that I was eating. So I just quit cold turkey. I didn't have any withdrawal symptoms or anything, though. So I think you should just try eating less of it, because it's usually full of saturated fats that aren't good for you.

Well, I'm sure there is one thing everybody can't go a day without and if they do "they feel weird"..whether it be food, working out, biting your nails, wearing a sweater everyday etc I think everyone, or at least the ones I talk to have some sort of addiction. Me for example, I'm "addicted" to tea, It was coffee, but I learned to let go. If you want to cut down on peanut butter find some new things to do in order to take this off of your mind. Read a book, work out a bit, doodle, do something productive, I would say go play video games, but I herd that gets pretty addicting the same with the internet. Pretty much anything can become an addiction, just learn to control it. With food limit the amount you eat, you can do it! :p

Nutella spread is very addictive as well but i always told myself moderation is the key. you must be careful not to eat too much because peanut butter contains saturated fat. you won't know if they clogged your arteries.
