Windows keeps creating a file on my desktop?

every time I delete this file, a new file re appears on my desktop everyday.. I don't know what type of file it is because the file name is always the day's date. For example the file created today is named .2012-12-06.. No matter how much I delete this file a new one always appears, and if I don't delete it it keeps piling up..

Im using windows 7 (64 bits)

start/ run, msconfig, start up tab, uncheck program. apply, reboot. then do a malware scan to be safe, try spybot.com or malwarebytes.org for free version, see if it picks up anything.
