Visiting NYC any traveling suggestion?

Hello! Tennessean here and I'm in Nj for 4 months and I am visiting NYC for the first time this weekend or next. I love thrift stores and unique shops. Cheap eats..used books stores... Any suggestions? I know I could simply google but I want some updated feedback. Any help is appreciated.

    really ny. yet, except you're staying with pals or kin, you're going to have a demanding time searching everywhere to stay. resorts require a minimum of 18 years old - some are 21. And staying in NYC is severe priced.
