Are all wars economic wars?
I understand that we face things and do things in every day life that somehow relates or ties into economics but in this situation, do you think all wars are economic wars?
I personally don't think all wars are economic wars HOWEVER I believe economics is the origin of war. Just not the ultimate reason for going into a war. The point of this post is to get other people's opinions on this. :)

The idea that war is a positive economic engine is a myth.
While a very few industries may benefit from war, wars hurt the economy, they do not help it.
This is one of those specious platitudes which insufferably ignorant idiots banter about.

Most of all wars in human history were for economic gain. Not all, but most. A great number more were religious, driven by ideology/culture, national defence against aggression, or something else. Of course, there is a large amount of overlap. The second world war was both economic and ideological.
It's not a matter of opinion; war almost always happens for economic purposes. The other most common is ideological, like the Vietnamese or Korean wars.
