To some gegree yea they both share in the blame. One for compromising too much, the other for not at all.

No, just the Republicans. Repubs supported Bush's tax cuts and spending but all of a sudden discovered that Clinton's surpluses had disappeared when Obama became president and that the deficits were huge. Repubs are hypocrites.
Repubs are pushing the nation to the edge of the cliff to protect the very rich. It is not defensible.

Either way, taxes are going up and have to.
Either you make the ones that can't afford it or you don't.
