Why can I play piano better since school started?
Like I'm not like an expert pianist, or anything, but after school started I've gotten better at piano! Like I think it's because I've been taking a keyboarding class since August. Like we sit there for an hour everyday typing lines and lines of combinations and such in a book. And we do all kinds of speed tests.

I think musical accomplishment is like any other kind of learning. It comes in jerky spurts, fast and slow, quite unpredictably.
It's good you're riding a crest for now, but don't be discouraged if you hit a slump now and then.
A good comparison is language learning. You may perceive nothing but Spanish gibberish for a while. Then, all of a sudden, you start reading the Mexican restaurant menus. In a few more months, there you are, actually following the jokes on Sabado Gigante.
