That is a very long list to demonstrate that you don't have a clue what the difference between the Sabbath and Sunday is.

The Sabbath can be any day of the week. It is the seventh day following six days of work. That day may be, but need not be, Sunday. It also may be, but need not be, Saturday.

Sunday is the first day of the week according to most, but not all, calendars.

By tradition, most Christians attend worship services on Sunday. Note that God does not command us to worship on the Sabbath. He commands us to rest.

We are often asked to choose between God's command (in which the Sabbath may be any day of the week) and Jewish tradition (in which the Sabbath is from sundown Friday to sundown Saturday). The Bible tells us that the wisdom of man is foolishness compared to the wisdom of God.

So, who will you serve, God or man? As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.

Good example of trying to use Sunday as a straw-man argument.

If you wanted to preach to Jews in various cities, would you not do so on sabbaths in the synagogues? Any other day, and no one would be there.

Where's the command for Gentile Christians to keep the law and/or sabbath(s)? It does not exist. To the contrary, there is Acts 15. Ever read it?

Some do; most do not and are still obeying the order made about 350 A.D. to change the Sabbath to Sundays because the people that believed the sun was a god, that Sunday is named after, where having "fun" murdering Christians because they stood out all dressed up on Saturdays!

It was the Roman Cesar Constantine that made this order that is still being obeyed by most these days!

Some religions are still obeying the Bible of the Sabbath, like the Seventh Day Adventists.

Only nine of the Ten Commandments are restated in the New Testament along with the principle behind the Sabbath. The command to keep the Sabbath is found nowhere within the New Testament.

For those that would understand the true meaning of the Old Testament ordinances, feast days, sabbath days, etc. there is the Book of Hebrews. It contrasts the old covenant with the new and shows us how the old was simply a shadow of heavenly things. Hebrews shows the superiority of Jesus Christ in every aspect and how His sacrifice did away with sundry washings, etc. Jesus is better in every way--

    FROM: Hebrews:

He is a better sacrifice than animals (9:23-10:12)

He is a better Priest than the Levitical priesthood (6:20-7:24)

He is better than Moses (3:3)

He is came by a better tabernacle (9:11)

    He brings a better covenant. (8:6, 7:19)

    He offers better promises (8:6)

He offers a better country (that is, an heavenly Heb 11:16)

He offers a better sabbath (4:4-4:11)

He is better than the angels (1:4)

The whole of the Christian life is about Jesus. Our true sabbath, our true rest, comes when we pass to the other side.

The religious people said that Jesus' disciples broke the sabbath by picking corn on the sabbath day. Jesus responded by saying that man was not made for the sabbath, the sabbath was made for man. In other words, God made the sabbath so that we could rest, not so we could be under a whip to observe it.

Mark 2:24 "And the Pharisees said unto him, Behold, why do they on the sabbath day that which is not lawful?"

2:27 "And he said unto them, The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath: "

2:28 "Therefore the Son of man is Lord of the sabbath."

Worshipping on the first day of the week began immediately after the resurrection of Christ and continued from that time. Consider the following points:

1.Jesus Christ rose from the dead on the first day of the week (Matthew 28:1; Mark 16:2, 9; Luke 24:1; John 20:1).

2.The day of Pentecost, when the Holy Ghost came down in power, was on the first day of the week (Acts 2:1; Leviticus 23:15-16).

3.The early church habitually met on the first day of the week (John 20:19; Acts 20:7; 1 Corinthians 16:2).

4.The first day of every week we remember the resurrection of our Lord as the beginning of a new dispensation in which we are no longer under the law but under grace (Romans 6:14-15; Galatians 4:21; 5:18).

    Conclusion:

While the Sabbath command was part of God's covenant with Israel, it was not reincorporated into His covenant with the church. The Mosaic Covenant has been superseded by the New Covenant, the latter fulfilling the Law's many types and shadows in the person of Christ. The Sabbath was one such shadow, typifying the rest Israel would find in the salvation provided by the death and resurrection of the Messiah.

Now that we have Christ (the substance) there is no more need to observe the shadow. That the church is no longer under the Sabbath command is evident from:

    (1) the OT teaching that the Sabbath served as a sign to test Israel's obedience to the Mosaic Covenant,

    (2) the clear message of the NT that the Mosaic Law in its entirety as a covenant has been abolished,

    (3) direct statements found in the NT declaring that Sabbath observance or the lack thereof cannot be used as grounds for judging one another,

    (4) the fact that the Sabbath is said to be a type to which we now have the reality of in Christ and the salvation provided by Him,

    (5) the absence of any positive command in the New Covenant to observe the Sabbath,

    (6) and the fact that Jesus broke the Sabbath. The believer can be confident that he/she is no longer under the OT Sabbath commands, but is now able to enjoy the rest foreshadowed by the Sabbath in their salvation through Jesus Christ, and the New Covenant inaugurated with His blood.

IF YOU ARE IN THE SPIRIT, EVERYDAY IS A SABBATH AND A DAY OF FAITHFUL SERVICE

    SCRIPTURES:

Colossians 2:14-17 says, "He canceled the record of the charges against us and took it away by nailing it to the cross. In this way, he disarmed the spiritual rulers and authorities. He shamed them publicly by his victory over them on the cross. So don’t let anyone condemn you for what you eat or drink, or for not celebrating certain holy days or new moon ceremonies or Sabbaths. For these rules are only shadows of the reality yet to come. And Christ himself is that reality.”

Also see Romans 14:5-6, "One man considers one day more sacred than another; another man considers every day alike. Each one should be fully convinced in his own mind. He who regards one day as special, does so to the Lord. He who eats meat, eats to the Lord, for he gives thanks to God; and he who abstains, does so to the Lord and gives thanks to God."

I can share with you the Definition: Sabbath is taken from the Hebrew sha·vath′, meaning “rest, cease, desist.” The sabbatical system prescribed in the Mosaic Law included a weekly Sabbath day, a number of additional specified days throughout each year, the seventh year, and the fiftieth year. The weekly Sabbath of the Jews, the seventh day of their calendar week, is from sunset on Friday until sunset on Saturday. Many professed Christians have traditionally kept Sunday as their day of rest and of worship; others have adhered to the day set aside on the Jewish calendar

Are Christians under obligation to keep a weekly sabbath day?

Rom. 10:4: “Christ is the end of the Law, so that everyone exercising faith may have righteousness.” (Sabbath keeping was a part of that Law. God used Christ to bring that Law to its end. Our having a righteous standing with God depends on faith in Christ, not on keeping a weekly sabbath.) (Also Galatians 4:9-11; Ephesians 2:13-16)

Col. 2:13-16: “[God] kindly forgave us all our trespasses and blotted out the handwritten document against us, which consisted of decrees and which was in opposition to us . . . Therefore let no man judge you in eating and drinking or in respect of a festival or of an observance of the new moon or of a sabbath.” (If a person was under the Mosaic Law and was judged guilty of profaning the Sabbath, he was to be stoned to death by the whole congregation, according to Exodus 31:14 and Numbers 15:32-35. Many who argue for sabbath keeping have reason to be glad that we are not under that Law. As shown in the scripture here quoted, an approved standing with God no longer requires observance of the sabbath requirement given to Israel.)

In fact according to the Bible Christians are no longer under that law. Whats' needed is an approved standing with God.

And folks: this is why so many people turn away from Jesus because of the church of man's rules.

Non-denominational believer in Christ as my Lord and savior who believes the LORD will forgive me for working Saturday and Sunday to support my family.

Ask yourself this, neighbor, in all the lists of virtues, and virtuous actions in the New Testament, why is "Sabbath keeping" never listed if it is of importance.

You're taking incidental anecdotes and occurences and making a mountain out of a mole hill.

Malachi 3:6 "For i'm the LORD, i modify not..." >> yet from what we see interior the recent testomony the believers >> began assembly on the first day of the week. Today there is no difference since neither exists. Any day may be arbitrarily assigned to praise and worship. Listening to the Spirit's leading is the best way.
