Message: 9 There is no life after death except for the 144,000 JWs
Yes there is life after death... its called paradise earth.
10 Salvation is earned
I just had a question in regards this.
http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=Aoqdm...
11 Jesus' second coming happened in 1914
nope. He did not come to the earth. Wish people like you would actually read what you parrot.
14 Jesus was a man
He was. Even trinitarians believe he was 100% man.
these you might want to change since they are not correct. If you persists, then you are a liar.

6 AnswersReligion & Spirituality9 years agoJehovah's Witnesses-please explain this passage of scripture?
Who are the people spoken of in these verses? Where are they? How many of them are there?
hint: the answers to these questions are given in this passage of scripture.
Revelation 7:9 After this I looked, and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and before the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands. 10 And they cried out in a loud voice:
“Salvation belongs to our God,
who sits on the throne,
and to the Lamb.”
11 All the angels were standing around the throne and around the elders and the four living creatures. They fell down on their faces before the throne and worshiped God, 12 saying:
“Amen!
Praise and glory
and wisdom and thanks and honor
and power and strength
be to our God for ever and ever.
Amen!”
13 Then one of the elders asked me, “These in white robes —who are they, and where did they come from?”
14 I answered, “Sir, you know.”
And he said, “These are they who have come out of the great tribulation; they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. 15 Therefore,
“they are before the throne of God
and serve him day and night in his temple;
and he who sits on the throne
will shelter them with his presence.
16 ‘Never again will they hunger;
never again will they thirst.
The sun will not beat down on them,
nor any scorching heat.
17 For the Lamb at the center of the throne
will be their shepherd;
‘he will lead them to springs of living water.’
‘And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.'

Seventh-day Adventists differ in four areas of beliefs from the mainstream Trinitarian Christian denominations. These are:
The Sabbath day
The doctrine of the heavenly sanctuary
The writings of Ellen White
Their doctrine of the second coming and millennium.
1.Catholicism is "fallen"
2.Protestant religions are Babylon
3.God does not hear the prayers of non-Adventists
4.Jesus does not intercede for non-Adventists
5.Non-SDA revivals are false
6.Non-SDA conversions to Christ are not real
7.God's Spirit is largely withdrawn from non-SDA Churches
8.Non-SDA Christians are worse than heathens
You only emphasize commandment four.
What about one, two, three, five, six, seven eight, nine and ten? Have you ever told a lie? Say to your mother or your boss? Have you stolen anything ever, even once? Have you looked at another person with lust? Have you coveted, wishing that you had what someone else has? Have you hated some one? If you have you have committed murder in your heart. Have you always, all of your life, honored your father and your mother?
James 2:10-11 (KJV)
10 For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all. 11For he that said, "Do not commit adultery", said also, "Do not kill". Now if thou commit no adultery, yet if thou kill, thou art become a transgressor of the law.
1.You shall have no other gods before me.
2.You shall not make for yourself any carved image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth; you shall not bow down to them nor serve them. For I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate me, but showing mercy to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My commandments.
3.You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain, for the Lord will not hold him guiltless who takes His name in vain.
4.Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord your God. In it you shall do no work: you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your manservant, nor your maidservant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger who is within your gates. For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it.
5.Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long upon the land which the Lord your God is giving you.
6.You shall not murder.
7.You shall not commit adultery.
8.You shall not steal.
9.You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.
10.You shall not covet your neighbor’s house; you shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that is your neighbor’s.
Show me how you keep all 613 Old Testament laws.. You can't even keep the ten commandments. I bet you've lied to your mother or your boss. I bet you haven't "Loved the Lord you God with all your heart, mind, soul and strength". I bet you've coveted. If you have hated you're guilty of murder.
"Christ came to free us from the CURSE of the law". All who rely on the law are under a CURSE".
Read Joshua 6. The Angel of the Lord told Joshua to march around Jericho once a day for six days, and on the seventh day they were told to march around the city seven times and then blow their ram's horns and shout to bring the walls down.
They marched a total of seven days, including on the Sabbath, which had been given to them when Moses was still leading them. God told the Israelites to 'work' on the Sabbath.

Luke 13:16 "Then should not this woman, a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan has kept bound for eighteen long years, be set free on the Sabbath day from what bound her?"
John 7:23 "Now if a child can be circumcised on the Sabbath so that the law of Moses may not be boken, why are you angry with me for healing the whole man on the Sabbath?

12 AnswersReligion & Spirituality9 years agoProof that prayer 'works'? That God answers prayer?
Proof that prayer works:
A 1993 Israeli survey following 10,000 civil servants for 26 years found that Orthodox Jews were less likely to die of cardiovascular problems than "nonbelievers."
A 1995 study from Dartmouth College monitored 250 people after open-heart surgery concluded that those who had religious connections were 12 times less likely to die than those who had none.
Duke Univ. researchers assessed 1,000 hospital patients from 1987 to 1989; patients who prayed or were prayed for coped far better.
This occurs even when the sick person is prayed for and doesn't know it:
Cardiologist Randolph Byrd studied 393 patients admitted to the coronary-care unit at San Francisco General Hospital. Some were prayed for by home-prayer groups, others were not. All the men and women got medical care. In this randomized, double-blind study, neither the doctors and nurses nor the patients knew who would be the object of prayer.
The results surprised many scientists. The men and women whose medical care was supplemented with prayer needed fewer drugs and spent less time on ventilators. They fared better overall than their counterparts who received only medical care. The prayed-for patients were:
Significantly less likely to require antibiotics (3 versus 16)
" " " develop pulmonary edema (6 versus 18).
" " " require insertion of a tube into the throat to assist breathing (0 versus 12).
" " " less likely to die
.
Experiments in healing involve nonhuman subjects. In a survey of 131 controlled experiments, it was found that prayed-for rye grass grew taller; prayed-for yeast resisted the toxic effects of cyanide; prayed-for test-tube bacteria grew faster. These experiments don't involve humans, you can run them with fanatical precision and you can run them hundreds of times. It's the best evidence of all that prayer can change the world. And it operates as strongly on the other side of the Earth as it does at the bedside.
In his book, Healing Words, Larry Dossey, M.D. reviewed over 100 experiments on the effects of prayer. More than half showed an effect on everything from seed germination to wound healing.
Volunteers visualized stimulating or retarding the growth of bacteria and fungi and achieved significantly positive results from as far as 15 miles away.
At the Mind Science Foundation in San Antonio, Texas, researchers took blood samples from 32 volunteers, isolated their red blood cells and placed the samples in a room on the other side of the building. Then the researchers placed the RBCs in a solution designed to swell and burst them, a process that can be measured extremely accurately. Next the researchers asked volunteers to pray for the preservation of some of the RBCS. To help them the researchers projected color slides of healthy RBCS. The praying significantly slowed the swelling and bursting of the RBCS.
In another study at the Mind Science Foundation, volunteers in a room on one side of the building were asked to visualize volunteers in a room on the other side of the building becoming calmer or more agitated. Meanwhile, the "receivers" were hooked up to biofeedback-type equipment to gauge their reactions. The results showed that the "influencers" exerted a statistically significant effect on the receivers' moods.
Prayer can take many forms. Results occur not only when people pray for explicit outcomes, but also when they pray for nothing specific.
A simple "Thy will be done" approach was more powerful than when specific results were held in mind.
A simple attitude of prayerfulness and a feeling of empathy, caring, and compassion for the entity in need, seemed to set the stage for healing.
Experiments also showed that prayer positively affected:
High Blood Pressure
Wounds
Heart Attacks
Headaches
Anxiety
The subjects in these studies included:
Water
Enzymes
Bacteria
Fungi
Yeast
Red blood cells
Cancer cells
Pacemaker cells
Seeds
Plants
Algae
Moth larvae
Mice
Chicks
The processes that had been influenced by prayer were:
Activity of enzymes
The growth rate of leukemic white blood cells
Mutation rates of bacteria
Germination and growth rates of seeds
Firing rate of pacemaker cells
Healing of wounds
The size of goiters and tumors
Time required to awaken from anesthesia
Autonomic effects such as electrodermal activity of the skin, rates of hemolysis of red blood cells and hemoglobin levels.
It did not matter whether the praying person was with the person who was prayed for the prayer to work. You can pray for someone who is far away and still have an influence on the outcome.
Nothing seems to block or stop the effects of prayer - the object in one study was placed in a lead-lined room and in

21 AnswersReligion & Spirituality9 years agoWhat are J.W.s afraid of?
Two J.W. women came to our door today. I told them I had something for them and tried to give them a list of questions I have prepared for just such an occasion. She tried to give me her paper, and I tried to give her my list of questions. She refused to touch the paper as if it was contaminated with the plague. I would not take her paper. She asked me if my pastor had given me the questions. I was somewhat offended at the question, as if I am not smart enough to do something myself. I said "No, I did it", emphasis on the word 'I'. She kept trying to give me her paper. I told her to answer my questions and come back and we would talk. She tried to give her paper to me again, and I said "We are at an impasse. Either we do this my way or we don't do it at all." She said "Then we don't do it at all", and left.
What is so threatening about a list of questions that she wouldn't even touch it, let alone read it?
14 AnswersReligion & Spirituality9 years agoNWT Scripture perversions?
The New World Translation renders the Greek word staurós ("cross") as "torture stake" because Jehovah’s Witnesses do not believe that Jesus was crucified on a cross. There are first century drawings of Jesus on the cross in the catacombs.
The NWT does not translate the Greek words sheol, hades, gehenna, and tartarus as "hell” because Jehovah’s Witnesses do not believe in hell.
The NWT gives the translation "presence" instead of “coming” for the Greek word 'parousia' because Jehovah’s Witnesses believe that Christ has already returned in the early 1900s.
In Colossians 1:16, the NWT inserts the word “other” despite its being completely absent from the original Greek text. It does this to give the view that “all other things” were created by Christ, instead of what the text says, “all things were created by Christ.” They believe that Christ is a created being, which they believe because they deny the Trinity.
The most well-known of all the NWT perversions is John 1:1. The original Greek text reads, “the Word was God.” The NWT renders it as “the word was a god.” This is not a matter of correct translation, but of reading one's preconceived theology into the text, rather than allowing the text to speak for itself. There is no indefinite article in Greek (in English, "a" or "an"), so any use of an indefinite article in English must be added by the translator. This is grammatically acceptable, so long as it does not change the meaning of the text.
There is a good reason why theos has no definite article in John 1:1 and why the New World Translation rendering is in error. There are three general rules we need to understand to see why.
1. In Greek, word order does not determine word usage like it does in English. In English, a sentence is structured according to word order: Subject - Verb - Object. Thus, "Harry called the dog" is not equivalent to "the dog called Harry." But in Greek, a word's function is determined by the case ending found attached to the word's root. There are two case endings for the root theo: one is -s (theos), the other is -n (theon). The -s ending normally identifies a noun as being the subject of a sentence, while the -n ending normally identifies a noun as the direct object.
2. When a noun functions as a predicate nominative (in English, a noun that follows a being verb such as "is"), its case ending must match the noun's case that it renames, so that the reader will know which noun it is defining. Therefore, theo must take the -s ending because it is renaming logos. Therefore, John 1:1 transliterates to "kai theos en ho logos." Is theos the subject, or is logos? Both have the -s ending. The answer is found in the next rule.
3. In cases where two nouns appear, and both take the same case ending, the author will often add the definite article to the word that is the subject in order to avoid confusion. John put the definite article on logos (“the Word”) instead of on theos. So, logos is the subject, and theos is the predicate nominative. In English, this results in John 1:1 being read as "and the Word was God" (instead of "and God was the word").
The most revealing evidence of the Watchtower's bias is their inconsistent translation technique. Throughout the Gospel of John, the Greek word theon occurs without a definite article. The New World Translation renders none of these as “a god.” Just three verses after John 1:1, the New World Translation translates another case of theos without the indefinite article as "God." Even more inconsistent, in John 1:18, the NWT translates the same term as both "God" and "god" in the very same sentence.
The Watchtower has no hard textual grounds for their translation—only their own theological bias. While NWT defenders might succeed in showing that John 1:1 can be translated as they have done, they cannot show that it is the proper translation. Nor can they explain the fact that that the NWT does not translate the same Greek phrases elsewhere in the Gospel of John the same way. It is only the pre-conceived heretical rejection of the deity of Christ that forces the Watchtower Society to inconsistently translate the Greek text, thus allowing their error to gain some semblance of legitimacy in the minds of those ignorant of the facts.
It is only the Watchtower's pre-conceived heretical beliefs that are behind the dishonest and inconsistent translation that is the New World Translation. The NWT is most definitely not a valid version of God’s Word. There are minor differences among all the major English translations of the Bible. No English translation is perfect. However, while other Bible translators make minor mistakes in the rendering of the Hebrew and Greek text into English, the NWT intentionally changes the rendering of the text to conform to Jeho
13 AnswersReligion & Spirituality9 years agoNWT-added words-'exercise', 'a', 'have been', 'son', many more?
The English words “exercise,” “exercising,” “exercised,” “exercises” are added with no basis in the Greek text. This term is added to support the Watchtower doctrine of works being added to faith to complete the salvation process.
Mark 5:36
John 1:12; 3:16, 18, 36; 6:29, 35; 7:5; 11:25, 36; 12:36; 14:1 (twice); 14:12; 16:9
Romans 4:3; 10:4, 9, 10
2 Corinthians 4:13 (twice)
Galatians 3:22
2 Thessalonians 1:10
Hebrews 4:3
1 Peter 1:8; 2:6
The Greek word “kolasis” is translated “cutting-off” instead of “punishment” to support the Watchtower’s belief in annihilation and the rejection of an eternal place of torment called “hell.”
Matthew 25:46
The Greek words “kai theos en ho logos” are mistranslated as “the Word was a god,” instead of “the Word was God.” This is a distortion of the text as the word “a” is not in the Greek, but was added by the New World Translators to make the Word (Jesus) “a” second “god” who is separate from God the Father.
John 1:1
The Greek words “ego eimi” meaning “I am” are mistranslated as “I have been” to obscure the connection between Jesus being the "I Am" Jehovah God of Exodus 3:14.
John 8:58
The word “me” is omitted in “ask Me anything” to support the Watchtower claim that Jesus is not worthy to receive prayer.
John 14:14
The Greek word “ginoskosin” meaning “to know, intimately” is mistranslated as “taking in knowledge of” to support the Watchtower doctrine that accurate knowledge is necessary for eternal life. Changing this translation from “know You” (as all other Bible translations have it) to “taking in knowledge of You” shifts the focus from a personal relationship with God to a mere intellectual study of God to gain eternal life.
John 17:3
The English word “son” in “blood of his own [son]” is added in brackets without any support in the Greek text. This demonstrates the length that the Watchtower goes to deny that Jesus is the God who shed His own blood for us.
Acts 20:28
The Greek phrase, “he petra de en ho Kristos” meaning “and the rock was Christ” is mistranslated as “and that rock mass meant the Christ”. Again, this shifts the focus from Jesus being the Jehovah God, Rock of Israel (Isaiah 30:29).
1 Corinthians 10:4 In the 1984 edition of the New World Translation, the English word “other” is added in brackets to indicate that the word does not occur in the Greek text. The translators of the New World Translation added the word “other” in “gave him the name that is above every [other] name” to support the Watchtower teaching that the name “Jehovah” is superior to the name “Jesus.” Only in recent editions of the New World Translation do we see the word inserted with brackets surrounding it. All editions from 1950 to 1981 had “other” added without brackets making it seem as if this word is in the original Greek text. On page 27 of the February 1, 1992 Watchtower magazine, we again see Philippians 2:9 being quoted without the brackets being used around the word “other.” This again demonstrates the deep rooted bias of the Watchtower Society against Jesus possessing a name equal and superior to name “Jehovah.”
Philippians 2:9
Translation bias against the eternal nature of Jesus Christ as Creator God is clearly seen in the New World Translation’s insertion of the word “other” in reference to Jesus’ work in creation. By adding the word “other” to “all things” so that it reads “by means of him all [other] things were made to exist,” the Watchtower attempts to justify its claim that Jehovah God created Jesus first and then used Jesus as His creative agent for the rest of creation. However, Scripture proclaims that Jesus is the Creator of “all things,” for He has always existed as the uncreated, “everlasting father” --possessor of eternity (Isaiah 9:6). While early editions of the New World Translation prior to the 1961 edition inserted the word “other” without brackets so that one could not tell the word is not in the original Greek, the 1961 edition and all others following it are more honest by enclosing the word in brackets. However, we again see translation bias against the Deity of Jesus Christ reoccurring in Watchtower literature on pages 20 and 21 of the February 1, 1992 issue of The Watchtower where the Watchtower’s insertion of “other” in Colossians 1:16 is again quoted without the brackets.
Colossians 1:16, 17, 20
The Greek word “Theotetos” meaning “Godship, Deity, Godhead” is mistranslated as “divine quality” to detract from the full Deity of God being attributed to Christ in this passage.
Colossians 2:9
The Greek phrase “Theou kai soteros emon” meaning “God and Savior of us” or “our God and Savior” is mistranslated as “god and of [the] Savior of us”. This word “the,” being inserted in brackets with no basis in the Greek text is yet another attempt of NWT translators to separate Christ from being God.
Titus 2:13
The Greek words “pneumaton” and “pneumas” meaning “spirits” is mistranslated as “sp

The Greek word “kolasis” is translated “cutting-off” instead of “punishment” to support the Watchtower’s belief in annihilation and the rejection of an eternal place of torment called “hell.”
Matthew 25:46
The Greek words “kai theos en ho logos” are mistranslated as “the Word was a god,” instead of “the Word was God.” The word “a” is not in the Greek, but was added to make the Word (Jesus) “a” second “god” who is separate from God the Father.
They deny that Jesus is God who shed His own blood for us.
Acts 20:28
The Greek phrase, “he petra de en ho Kristos” meaning “and the rock was Christ” is mistranslated as “and that rock mass meant the Christ”. This shifts the focus from Jesus being Jehovah God, Rock of Israel (Isaiah 30:29).
1 Corinthians 10:4
In the 1984 edition of the New World Translation, the English word “other” is added in brackets to indicate that the word does not occur in the Greek text. The New World Translation added the word “other” in “gave him the name that is above every [other] name” to support the Watchtower teaching that the name “Jehovah” is superior to the name “Jesus.” In recent editions of the New World Translation we see the word inserted with brackets surrounding it. All editions from 1950 to 1981 had “other” added without brackets making it seem as if this word is in the original Greek text.
Philippians 2:9
By adding the word “other” to “all things” so that it reads “by means of him all [other] things were made to exist,” the Watchtower attempts to justify its claim that God created Jesus first and then used Jesus as His creative agent for the rest of creation. Scripture proclaims that Jesus is the Creator of “all things,” for He has always existed as the uncreated, “everlasting father” --possessor of eternity (Isaiah 9:6). Early editions of the New World Translation prior inserted the word “other” without brackets so that one could not tell the word is not in the original Greek, the 1961 edition and all others following it are more honest by enclosing the word in brackets.
Colossians 1:16, 17, 20
The Greek word “Theotetos” meaning “Godship, Deity, Godhead” is mistranslated as “divine quality” to detract from the full Deity of God being attributed to Christ.
Colossians 2:9
The Greek “Theou kai soteros emon” meaning “God and Savior of us” or “our God and Savior” is mistranslated as “god and of [the] Savior of us”. This word “the,” being inserted in brackets with no basis in the Greek text is yet another attempt of NWT translators to separate Christ from being God.
Titus 2:13
The Greek words “pneumaton” and “pneumas” meaning “spirits” is mistranslated as “spiritual life” and “spiritual lives” to fit with the Watchtower doctrine that denies the existence of the human “spirit” that lives on past physical death.
Hebrews 12:9, 23
Final warning on adding or Removing from the word of God: Revelation 22:18-19: "For I testify unto every man that hears the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book."
10 AnswersReligion & Spirituality9 years agoAtheists-Are you worried? Muslim judge throws out case against muslim who choked atheist.?
World Net Daily-A Muslim judge in Pennsylvania – who scolded a local atheist for offending Islam, called him a doofus and accused him of “using the First Amendment” to madden Muslims – dismissed harassment charges against the Muslim defendant who purportedly choked the atheist during a Halloween parade.
District Judge Mark Martin brought a Quran to court and told the alleged victim, American Atheists’ Pennsylvania State Director Ernest Perce V, “I think you misinterpreted a couple of things. So before you start mocking somebody else’s religion, you might want to find out a little more about it. It kind of makes you look like a doofus".
The judge added, “I think our forefathers intended to use the First Amendment so we can speak with our mind, not to p— off other people and cultures – which is what you did.”
Perce had worn a “zombie Muhammad” costume and proclaimed that he was the Prophet Muhammad risen from the dead at the Oct, 11, 2011, event in Mechanicsburg, Pa. A “zombie pope” was also featured in the parade that night.
Now the Scranton Atheism Examiner reports that Perce could be arrested for posting audio of the judge scolding him for mocking Muhammad. According to report, the Muslim judge has threatened to hold him in contempt of court for releasing the recording. Perce has claimed he was given permission to post the audio.
The Examiner reports that Perce said he posted the audio because the judge treated him unfairly and showed preferential treatment for the Muslim defendant.
According to reports, the atheists were marching when Talaag Elbayomy, a Muslim, stormed out of the crowd and assaulted Perce, grabbing a sign around his neck and pulling until the strings choked him.
The men caught the attention of a nearby police officer.
Mechanicsburg Police Officer Bryan Curtis told Pennsylvania’s WHTM-TV, “Mr. Perce has the right to do what he did that evening, and the defendant in this case was wrong in what he did in confronting him.”
He added, “I believe that I brought a case that showed proof beyond a reasonable doubt, and the case was dismissed, and I was disappointed.”
Elbayomy – who said he believed it was illegal to mock Muhammad – was charged with harassment. He denied touching Perce at trial, but Officer Curtis said Elbayomy admitted grabbing Perce’s sign and beard the night of the incident.
18 AnswersReligion & Spirituality9 years agoDo J. W.s realize how sick we are of the word 'pagan'?
God created everything and declared "It is good". Someone, somewhere, a long time ago misused part of God's perfect creation so therefore, we cannot use it?
Someone, somewhere, a long time ago, held orgies in the groves, so therefore we cannot walk throught the woods?
Someone, somewhere, along time ago, worshipped a tree, so we cannot have Christmas trees?
Someone, somewhere, a long time ago, worshipped a false god on a certain day so therefore, we cannot worship the True and Living God on that day?
If we continue this line of thought to its conclusion we cannot enjoy sunlight because someone, somewhere, a long time ago worshipped the sun?
Someone, somewhere, a long time ago worshipped the moon, so we cannot look at a full moon and enjoy it?
In the roughly 6000 years man has been on this Earth nearly everything has been worshipped or misused for sin.
If everything is excluded that someone, somewhere, a long time ago sinned with, worshipped, or somehow misused there will be nothing that we can do.
Should we let someone, somewhere, a long time ago determine what we do today? Is what they did so important that we should let them determine our behavior?
