This is when a BAPTIST preacher called William Miller understood Daniel 8 but did not understand what the cleansing of the sanctuary was and thought it meant the earth and so thought it meant the return of Christ.

This was a HUGE historical event that involved EVERY denomination on the face of planet earth. Everyone thought Christ was going to return. History called this the great disappointment.

Many of these people from all denominations kept on studying the scripture on this and realized where this Baptist preacher went wrong.

I didn't quite read all your writing because it's so lengthy but I assure you that God does hear every prayer and Jesus does intercede for everyone who offers up a sincere prayer to God from the heart. It doesn't matter what denomination they belong to or even don't belong to any at all. I'm sorry to say that many of your points are not valid like points 3 to 8.

Also ALL the commandments are important. The christian life is to be a balanced one and one that brings glory to God. A Christian (also a SDA Christian) need to be honest, caring/kind, live a morally pure life, be responsible etc..

Here is Colossians 2:16 from an expert theologian used by all Pastors since you have no idea.

“Colossians 2:14 - Blotting out the hand-writing of ordinances - By the hand-writing of ordinances the apostle most evidently means the ceremonial law: this was against them, for they were bound to fulfill it; and it was contrary to them, as condemning them for their neglect and transgression of it. This law God himself has blotted out.

Nailing it to his cross - When Christ was nailed to the cross, our obligation to fulfill these ordinances was done away.”

Why do you mention 613 laws? How many reasons do you have you to avoid ONE Commandment?

God will not honour you attack on others like this or your attack on His law.

Many of these laws were instituted because of sin (example Passover) and hence were in fact only for the Jews because the Gospel did not go to the Gentiles until after the sacrificial law ended at the cross. But the Ten Commandments of course are very much a stand alone law for all mankind. They were written by the finger of God, personally spoken by God and were stored in the inside of the Ark of the Covenant under the mercy seat, which represented the very presence of God. Clearly the Ten Commandments are extremely important to God. Most of these other laws have now ended but not so with the Ten Commandments. Some examples of the other laws were unclean (unhealthy) foods, laws to prevent the spread of leprosy, mold in houses or a woman being unclean once a month. Lately I have begun to see attempts to diminish the importance of the Ten Commandments by saying there are 613 laws. And what about the other hundreds of denomination that keep the Sabbath which you have made very clear is your issue?

Really? So if all Christians were running around murdering other people and saying the Commandment that says thou shalt not murder is done away with, you would not be emphasizing that this was wrong and that the Commandment had not ended? Are you that clueless that you cannot see why?

Did it ever occur to your hate filled mind that those who can tell the difference between laws which you clearly cannot, are doing what the do because they know Satan attacked this law and so are trying to reveal the truth to the deceived like you?

And the Ten Commandments and the Ordinances are two separate things. The ordinances are what were practiced because of sin such as the meat and rink offerings and the feast days and new moons and sacrificial Sabbaths such as Passover. Even the Strong's and Thayer dictionary tell you this for the word in Colossians 2:14.

Note Luke 1:6 which is before the cross of course, “And they were both righteous before God, walking in all the "Commandments" AND "Ordinances" of the Lord blameless.”

So as for Colossians 2:16, in verse 14 Paul says the “Ordinances!” This is the sacrificial law. Not the Ten Commandments. Sabbath days in Colossians 2:16 is plural in the Greek and refers to Passover Sabbath and Day of Atonement Sabbath and 5 others that were all because of sin which was the breaking of the Ten Commandments of which the Lord’s Sabbath was one of. You do know the Lord's Sabbath was written stone don't you and the sacrificial Sabbaths were written in the Book of the Law?

And Jesus saying the Sabbath was made to be a blessing for man does not magically end the Commandment.
