Minor in Possession Ticket? Is this a legitimate challenge?
I am a 19 year old male who just got charged with a Minor In possession of alcohol ticket. I was on private property and the cops came and searched my car (I gave them permission, they caught us smoking) anyways since i have a medical card for weed I didnt get any weed charge, but since the beer was concealed in the trunk and closed and technically we were on private property, isn't it illegal for him to charge me with that? Since it wasnt a public road or place? The only charge would have been trespassing right? which he didnt charge me with

Being on private property doesn't mean you can legally possess alcohol. So no, this is not a defense.
You gave him permission to search the car, so the search was valid. You aren't going to beat this at trial, and certainly not with the defense "I was on private property" argument.

YOU WERE IN POSSESSION OF IT. They found it after you LET them search. Anything they find in your vehicle can lead to charges because you LET THEM SEARCH. What part of LETTING THEM SEARCH do you think means they can't use that against you? That would be like well I shot a guy in front of the cops but they didn't charge me for my illegal gun so they can't charge me for the murder right. I mean your defense makes no sense.
