Poll: why does this site exist?

Just came back after a good few months off and first question was deleted within 30 mins , not complaining but i am leaving you all too it.

    I guess it exists because you can ask question and give answers like you can in a forum. Google gives you factual answers but here you can get opinions and thoughts. Also it's like other places where you have contacts and keep in touch with them and you gain a profile and you have news feeds and you share thoughts, views and knowledge.

    Of course this is why it exists not how it's actually used unfortunately.

  • It started out to ask serious questions that you needed answers to that you couldn't find or were too lazy to on the search engines. It turned into a place for people to have fun and play and for trolls to get off on making other people angry.

    Why does this site exist? It's called Yahoo... you know... Yahoo!!! It exists because it somehow benefits Yahoo. When it no longer does that, it will cease to exist.

    As for individuals, many have their own reasons for being here.. not all would agree.
