what would of happen if i ate them?

thanks

Update:

@blahrg, i am mad and disgusted. i called the company and ask for the manager. luckily for him he is in a convention right now, so i left a message to call me back. as soon as he calls back he is going to listen. i am also thinking of calling the health department on this one. the company may have changed dates on their old stock products and resold them

Uh oh. I think those are meal moth larvae. They are quite skilled at getting into even sealed packages. Have you noticed a lot of small moths flying around lately? My apartment got infested with them a couple years ago when my roommate brought home a big sack of rice that was infested with the larvae, which he had bought from an Asian market. It took me about a month to get rid of them.

If you're not too grossed out by it, I don't think it would bring any harm to you to eat the cookies.

I just took some cookies that has a couple of worms on them and I placed them into the refrigerator. I am hoping that they might die from the cold temperature. I really like the cookies because they taste good! They are three packages of maple leaf cream cookies. I am not going to waste them! I did found some really ancient graham crackers that were expired from six years ago and also I opened up one package where they graham crackers were almost disintegrated from all of the worms that crawled around in them! Those ones I am not eating! UGH! The worms built a condominium out of that package! DISGUSTING. NOT GOING TO EAT IT! Those are in the trash!
