Sony KDF-E42A10 Projection TV problem, lamp?
I just got a sony 42" projection tv. When I turn it on, the LED light on the front flashes green for about a minute, then turns red, and blinks continuously at a slower rate. I did some research, and was able to determine that it could be the bulb. I am the second owner, and do not have any previous information as to what could have happened with it. I got it as is, not working of course, but am hoping to get it fixed. I removed the lamp as soon as I determined that it could be bad, and it has some dust on it, so I'm assuming its the original one. The TV is about 6 years old, released in January, 2006. Any idea what the problem could be? I don't want to purchase a lamp until I know that's the problem. I looked into it, and can buy one for about $35 on amazon. Thanks. And please be serious with your answers.

It's time so that you can get a new television. I have under no circumstances had any success with any Sony merchandise lasting greater than 3 years. Bought 2 Sony DVD gamers after they first came out model 7000 and 7700 both at the cost of $1,a hundred every and they did not last greater than 3 years. Also the first Sony HDTV CRT available in the market for $6,400 and that too did not last greater than 3 years. Go surfing to residence Theater magazine and browse the reviews on television and different products. I had an ancient rear projection television from Mitsubishi and the power circuit board went out and so they desired $500 to switch it. It isn't price powerful in repairing ancient science, so I bought a Panasonic Plasma tv. In case you learn yahoo questions, you're going to notice many problems with Sony product. They even have a negative consumer provider help, they only want you to name there approved restore keep so they are able to charge you for the restore. Hope this will likely help you out.
