Dr. Jenner revealed to Rick at the CDC that everyone is infected. Perhaps the reason for Jenner's blood test was to confirm this. Rick kept that to himself and revealed it much later in season 2, though he alluded to it while talking over the walkie talkie hoping Morgan was listening, but he stopped.

There were some subtle things during season two, Rick and Shane noted two people they saw had no bites or scratches and where perplexed why they turned into walkers. The hostage turned walker was another example.

See to answer your question,It would end up messing up the last episode of season two, which your not on yet. But if you really want to know keep reading and I'll tell you, otherwise stop reading this and just keep watching the show

In the last episode, Rick tells the group that when they were in that science lab(season one) the scientist guy told him before the place blew up, that everyone is infected with the virus, thus forth if someone who is not bitten dies, they will still turn into a walker.

If you saw back in season (1 I think) they were at the CDC place and the guy there told Rick something. Later on (last episode of season 2) Rick tells the group what the guy told him, everyone is infected with the disease and it doesn't matter if you're bit or not when you die you turn anyways. Hope that answers your question

Not anymore. The virus mutated and it's now airborne. It's in everyone's brain and lays dormant until the person dies, then activates (like how when you get chicken pox, it stays in your spinal cord forever and can reactivate as shingles later in life). A bite is still lethal because the zombie saliva deposits the active virus into your blood.

I am SO pissed that they did that. Totally ruined the science behind the zombies and did all that Romero bullsh*t.

I was gonna say the same thing! Think REALLY hard and you might figure it out...was the hostage bitten (?) Thus does a person need to be bitten to become a walker?

just keep watching. that answer will be revealed in the last episode of season 2. it has something to do with what Dr. Edwin Jenner at the CDC whispered in Rick's ear before they leave. :)))
