why is reading important?

If you didn't know how it read, you couldn't read this answer. You also couldn't read video game menus :)

What do you do every time you open a book? Look on the internet? Write/Type anything? When teachers/lecturers write on the board during class? Roadsigns? Text someone?

If you can't read, then you cannot properly communicate.

It improves vocabulary. Plus reading an action packed book in much more fun than reading the dictionary.

Its the only effective way to communicate.

Look at the way people talk today. Do you like think that's any like way to like, talk?

With reading and writing good books you'll learn communication by absorbing it.

You have no reason to read the answers.
